I rescued 2 kitty’s a year ago and they were completely wild. They would only come out to eat and play with each other if I wasn’t in the room,. They were about 8 weeks old.
After a couple of months the female began to be friendly and I was able to take her to the vets for her op when she was due.
The male is a completely different story. Although he would be friendly, playful, eat from your hand, he’s never allowed us to touch him. We haven’t been able to pat him for a whole year.
I tried another type of plug in, that is based on things like catnip and valerian but it didn’t do anything. So I tried the feliway.
After a couple of weeks, he was on the windowsill and I started to pat him, he tensed up like he was thinking ew human touch.. But he didn’t run away. Over the next few weeks he’s just got better and better. He jumps on the bed and gets brushed and pats and now his tail has started to go up, like a cranky gear shift that’s never been used. I heard a few crackles like a purr is trying to start, but he’s such a different cat. He’s a year old now and finally he’s relaxed and enjoying getting groomed and pats.
I wish I’d tried this sooner.
I will wait to take him for his op as I don’t want to ruin his trust , but I will get the feliway spray for his cage when I do take him.
I totally recommend this product, especially if you have nervous rescues, adopted cats. Or just stressed or anxious cats. It’s night and day to how he is now. Just give it time, it took about 2 weeks to see the first change and now it’s just over a month. It’s still plugged in and I might continue to use it for a few more months . See how he goes.

This product works great, I have a very anxious cat who pees in the same spot and putting this diffuser in the wall socket where she pees has deterred her from peeing inside. Our other cat who likes to visit the neighbours will spend more time at home when this is going and when I ran out recently she was off again.
My cats (who don’t like each other normally) can be around each other with this product.
