CALMEX® is a highly palatable tablet, containing a unique blend of nutraceutical
ingredients to help support dogs experiencing acute or chronic stress and anxiety.
Contains a major brain phospholipid, which plays a role in neurotransmitter
production and release and so enhances nerve cell signalling. It has been shown in
a nutritional context that phosphatidylserine normalises the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal
response to stress.
A plant adaptogen which helps the body respond to environmental changes
and has a stress protective effect. The nutrients in R. rosea have two key
actions: they help regulate cortisol release and influence production of neurotransmitters.
An amino acid precursor to serotonin. Regulation of serotonin can improve
anxiety and stress as it has a role in many physiological functions. Supplementation
in dogs has been found to reduce anxiety signs.
A plant containing flavonoids that can help support natural calming mechanisms
in the body. The nutrients help modulate neurotransmitter pathways and can aid in
the management of anxiety.
These are involved in the synthesis of key neurotransmitters and can decrease
the cortisol response to stress.
CALMEX® is highly palatable and can be given both with, or without, food. CALMEX®
is presented in blister packs in boxes of 10 tablets.
It is recommended that you discuss use with your veterinarian as to how often it is appropriate to use Calmex for your pet. Duration of action
will often vary between animals. Book an online telehealth consultation to find out how Calmex can work for your dog.
