CALMEX® FOR CATS is a natural supplement to aid with promoting feelings of calm and a relaxed demeanour in cats. Cats are particularly prone to stress and anxiety for a variety of reasons and managing this is very helpful in minimising the negative effects of this stress to your feline friend.
CALMEX® FOR CATS contains a unique blend of nutraceutical ingredients to help support cats experiencing acute or chronic stress.
Contains a major brain phospholipid, which plays a role in neurotransmitter production and release and so enhances nerve cell signalling. It has been shown in a nutritional context that phosphatidylserine normalises the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal response to stress.
An amino acid precursor to serotonin. Regulation of serotonin can improve anxiety and stress as it has a role in many physiological functions. Supplementation in cats has been found to reduce stress related behavioural issues, such as house soiling and scratching.
These are involved in the synthesis of key neurotransmitters and can decrease the cortisol response to stress.
CALMEX® FOR CATS is designed to aid cats that encounter long term stressful circumstances such as territorial stress, moving home or rehoming, multi-cat households. However, it can also be used to support cats during one-off or short-term stressors if necessary such as travel, fireworks, vet visits, boarding or cattery stays.
CALMEX® FOR CATS liquid can be given directly or added to food. Remove the safety cap, insert the syringe, invert the bottle, draw the plunger and dispense. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.
