Description

The broadest spectrum parasite treatment available for cats; it kills fleas, ticks, ear mites and worms, including tapeworms.

TREAT MONTHLY

Treating only for fleas, treats only half the problem. Make sure you treat your cat for worms too. Monthly administration delivers optimal parasitecontrol for both internal and external parasites.

HUNTING – While we’d prefer them not to, cats are known to chase and hunt rodents such as mice, birds and other small wild prey that can host parasitic worms, including tapeworms.

GROOMING – When grooming, cats swallow anywhere between 18-50% of their fleas.1,2 Fleas are intermediate hosts for the tapeworm Dipylidium caninum which means cats can become infected with tapeworms by swallowing fleas.

ROAMING – Adventures around the neighbourhood, in gardens, local parks and public places where other animals go, expose kiwi cats to fleas and worms all year round.

ZOONOSIS – THE DEFINITION OF ZOONOSIS IS A DISEASE WHICH CAN BE TRANSMITTED TO HUMANS FROM ANIMALS.
Roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms represent zoonotic risk. If cats are not routinely dewormed, pet owners and their families (especially young children) are at increased risk of exposure and infection. NEXGARD SPECTRA for Cats helps protect against these zoonotic parasites.

HOW TO APPLY NEXGARD SPECTRA FOR CATS

Pull back the plunger slightly, remove cap, place the tip of the applicator on the skin. Apply the contents directly on the skin in one spot on mid-line of the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades. For more information, scan our QR code for our “How to Apply” video.

    Works well but messy

Posted by LH on 17th Jan 2025

This product seems to do the job well but it is messy to use - it is quite liquid and ends up running, ending up in areas of the coat that the cat can lick which is not ideal. Other flea products I have used have not had this problem.

    Nexgard covers all

Posted by Mum cat of 2 on 8th Jan 2025

I use this for my big 1 year old kitten and my 9 year old gentleman. It only irritates them for about 30mins but they don't foam at the mouth if they do lick it, unlike other products we have tried. I'm super glad it covers lungworm, was using another product on kitten when it caught lung worms. 1 dose of the nextgard, he recovered and reminds protected from it. I find its too costly to treat every month so I risk it and dose every 2 months. Both cats do just fine.

    Easy to use

Posted by Bridgette on 13th Nov 2024

I love that I don't have to try and worm my cats with this product. It's hard enough trying to put products like this on them, I can't imagine trying to shove a separate worming pill down their throats as well. I suspect my hands would be ripped to shreds :)
